I have now found myself transitioning my form of art to the embroidery industry. I have always had a great sense of humor and I tend to look at the world and its people from a funny point of view.

My perspective on any subject that becomes a member of my collections is one of a lighthearted nature that is supposed to make you feel good. Hence the paintings, the pillows, the furniture, and all of my other little “gilligaloops” are created with a laugh.

Embroidery by Amy specializes in customized embroidery and digitization for polos, shirts, baseball caps, bags, pants and many other items. I attended Central Michigan University and Michigan State with a tri-major in Art, Theater, and English. But the creativity began at a very young age. I remember putting paper dolls to a window with tracing paper over them and designing clothes.

I learned how to sew my own clothing along with doll clothing when I was very young. I started acting in plays as soon as I could tell a story. I have written short stories and plays and have had the great privilege of owning my own children's theater company.
